Updating Slide Show Software for OS X
Thursday, October 9th, 2008I’m using a Nikon D300 connected to a WP 4 wireless transmitter so that, at parties, I can run a live slide show. There’s lots of software to run slide shows on a Mac, but to have the slide show update as new images arrive from the camera … that’s another problem entirely. I found the answer in a little known piece of software called Toucan. This neat little package, written by Boudewijn Pelt, is a mere $15 and provides the answer to a live party photographers dreams. Point it at a folder and start with one or two images and then, as other images arrive from the camera, the slide show expands. It can show the slides in strict rotation or randomly. Problem solved!
